GUNS N’ ROSES TOUR CANCELLED
American rockers Guns N’ Roses have cancelled their European tour
– including a date at the Manchester Evening News Arena on Tuesday
18 December.
Unlike other American artistes who have cancelled and postponed
tours in recent weeks, the band has not blamed the international
situation for its decision. A spokesperson for Guns N’ Roses says
that failure to complete their new album has led to the cancellation
of the tour.
The tour was due to co-incide with the release of ‘Chinese
Democracy’, the group’s first album of all new material for 10
years. Unfortunately, the illness to guitarist Buckethead earlier
this year – which lead to the postponement of the original
Manchester date in June – has also slowed down the progress on the
album.
The group’s spokesperson said, "I am very sorry to disappoint our
fans. The good news is that everyone is ecstatic with the album. We
will announce rescheduled tour sates to coincide with its release
next year”.
