While the resurrected Guns N' Roses have added more
dates to their overseas jaunt this summer, fans should beware of a
bogus story going around that the band is soon touring with Stone
Temple Pilots, Buckcherry, and Filter.
Some Internet sites have quoted a fake interview with GNR
guitarist Robin Finck that quotes him telling a radio station that
the band is touring the U.S. in July with the three aforementioned
bands. Apparantly, the interview never happened and neither will
this tour.
Meanwhile, GNR are now listing the giant Roskilde festival in
Denmark on June 28 as the last confirmed date on their itinerary,
although they are expected to stay over for more shows in July.
Roskilde, of course, was the scene of nine fan deaths last year
during Pearl Jam's set at that festival. GNR had a similar
experience at the Donnington festival in 1988.
The Brit dates, from June 9-14, also now include a second London
concert. Tickets for the first show sold out in short order.
The updated GNR tour dates are as follows:
June 1, Nuremberg, Germany, Rock Im Park
June 3, Nurburgring,
