1st 2001: Guns N' Roses first concert in seven years. The general consensus
is that it was worth waiting for.
The concert in Las Vegas began in the wee hours of the morning (3:30am) on new years day
to a crowd of 1,800 enthousiastic fans.
The show kicked off with "Welcome to the Jungle" and ended with Paradise
city. Other classics where played such as "Mr.Brownstone", "Sweet Child O'
Mine", and "Patience".
The band also rolled out previously unreleased songs such as "Chinese
Democracy", "The Blues", "Silk Worms", and "Madagascar".
Guns N' Roses also offered a live version of their 1999 release called "Oh
My My God" for the "End Of Days" soundtrack.
The bands backdrop was a jumbo-style 25 foot floor-to-ceiling video screen
augmented by a number of small monitors. Security was very thight, camera's
and cell phones where being confiscated. -
